I had the salt and pepper squid and vegetable spring roles. And it was absolutely delicious. Very reasonable price for the amount of serving on the plate. Authentic taste! The service was quick. Good for casual dinning. Will be back!

I love recommendations and when my colleague told me about it, I had to try.My partner brought me here as it was our treat day and girlll, I had fun. I was satiated.I ordered the THREE ROAST.Im asian, i love my rice (egg fried rice for this dish) and it is topped with roasted duck, crispy pork belly and char siu.My partner opted for chow mein but I told him to get the STIR FRIED BEEF HO FAN. It didnt disappoint him. "Simple and done well" was his comment. It came with a generous serving of tender beef with some bean sprouts, spring onions and the noodles. The wok hei was there. We had to order more meat and that meant SWEET AND SOUR PORK RIBS. This isnt the tender fall off the bone ribs but its cripsy on the outside and you have to pull the meat off the bone. The sauce was great and it had a decent amount of meat to bone ratio as well as vegetables. It was lunch time, felt thirsty from walking under the scorching sun. Their HOMEMADE LEMON ICED TEA did not disappoint. I think they used black tea, some sweetener and added in fresh lemons. Very refreshing with crushed ice. They serve it with a straw and a spoon so you can crush the lemon as you slurp down this lovely bevvy. They take card and cash payments.Loo was our of order when we visited. We didnt have to make a reservation. They do takeaways 20pence per takeaway tub.Food came out fast and hot.5-10minute walk from the portsmouth and southsea train stationStar ratingPrice 5/5Food 5/5Ambiance 5/5Service 5/5Location 5/5

Legendary quick and cheap Chinese food. Hasn't changed in 10 odd years. Never had a bad meal here, service is quick and the 50p for extra rice is great. Normally have satay or curry which are both awesome, beef brisket is particularly good. There's not a lot of seating and it fills up quick for lunch so try to get there early.

Amazing authentic chinese food. Missed Chinatown since moving from London to Pompei 2 years ago. Full of flavour, quality ingredients and large portions. A very happy returning customer!

We ordered several dishes for a family meal:Curry Beef Brisket RiceBraised Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables RiceBlack Bean Sauce Spare Ribs & Chicken Feet RiceChar Kway Teow (Stir-Fried Flat Rice Noodles)The prices were reasonable and affordable, the portions were generous, and the flavors were excellent! The beef brisket and pork belly were braised to perfection—tender and rich in taste. The black bean sauce had a strong, fragrant aroma, making the dish even more appetizing. The Char Kway Teow had a delightful mix of spices and a hint of curry, giving it a unique and delicious twist. One great bonus: for every meal over 9, you get a free drink! Choices include coffee, milk tea, and Chinese tea, which is a fantastic deal since there’s no need to pay extra for drinks.Unfortunately, we forgot to take a photo of the curry beef brisket, but we’ll definitely be back for more!Highly recommended!

had been coming here for years but stopped after it changed ownership. I randomly dropped in today and the original owners are back (since Nov 24). It's back to how it was. Support a small and independent business. long live HKTB
